The Platinum, Gold and Silver plans all provide 24/7 coverage but offer different benefits and benefit limits. Our Platinum Plan is our most popular plan, and our only plan with travel insurance coverage, including up to $200,000 in out-of-province emergency medical insurance. This makes it the best choice if your child is going on an out-of-province or out-of-country trip. See the Compare Plans page for a quick summary of the plans.

Yes, under Platinum Plan only. Emergency Medical coverage is available up to $200,000. Travel benefits are only available for ages 20 and under. All terms and conditions of the policy are applicable.

4. What types of dental expenses are covered?

The policy covers dental treatment, follow-up treatment, orthodontic treatment and dental implants if your child needs them because of an accident. If a dentist reports that your child’s teeth are still developing and they still need treatment after 10 years because of an accident, the policy covers it. If your child’s dentures or removable teeth break because of an accident, the policy covers that too.

5. What types of eye care expenses are covered?

The policy helps pay for eyeglasses or contact lenses if the child:

a) damages or breaks them; or

b) needs them for the first time.

The benefit for both a) and b) above only apply if the child has an accident and is treated by a physician.
